Love, love me do...bridal jewellery

A beautiful way to preserve your wedding bouquet is within a sparkling Lost Forest pine resin jewel. This 'bouquet bangle' was made for a lovely customer of mine who wanted me to create a special memento of her big day. I always love to make wedding keepsakes; they hold precious memories and symbolism for the couple, and will become treasured heirlooms to be passed down through the generations.

This organic shaped bangle encapsulated a portion of her bouquet. Ivory toned roses, woodland ferns and tiny botanic elements from her husbands boutonnière danced within the crystal clear resin. The other half of the band featured a piece of Irish birch bark; an eternal reminder of her connection to her husbands Irish ancestry. I then added some glittering shards of 24k gold leaf to complete this stunning and unique bangle.

Memento jewellery

Last year I created a very special piece for a wonderfully talented lady who suffered a tragic loss. We worked together on creating diminutive pine resin pebbles that would encapsulate delicate strands of her baby's hair. She wanted a tangible memento to hold onto forever, and to comfort her during a very difficult time ahead.

I made a trio of pebbles and raindrops; each one holding their precious treasures. I also added sparkling 24k gold leaf and swirls of pink dye, floating upwards through the crystal clear resin.

The next stage of the project was handed over to the highly skilled Irish goldsmith, Helena Malone. She fashioned a gold frame to hold the pebble; creating an eternal protective embrace. A tiny pink diamond was mounted to echo the pink in the pebble. The outcome was a beautifully unique, elegant and enduringly sentimental piece of jewellery she could wear close to her heart forever.

Baby on Board

This is a beautiful little memento necklace I recently created for a lovely client of mine. She was presented with this tiny black bean by her daughter-in-law on the news of her long awaited pregnancy. It represented the size of her daughter-in-laws growing baby, and was a true surprise and delight for the prospective grandmother.

She asked me to preserve the bean in a miniature eco resin globe necklace so she could always remember the pivotal occasion. I nestled the bean at the base of the globe, as if cradled by its gentle contours. My signature crystal clear resin showcased every minuscule detail and intriguing form. I then surrounded it with a protective embrace of magical dandelion seeds; an emphatic declaration that wishes do come true. The overall result was a stunning keepsake that holds a wealth of meaning and memories.
